Blairsburg is located 9 miles east of Webster City, in north central Iowa. Blairsburg was established by Robert Tinling in 1869. John Blair was involved in founding the town and named it for himself. The town was incorporated on December 21, 1900.

Opera House With the help of several grants, hundreds of volunteer hours, and local financial contributions, the Opera House renovation has given the community a gathering place of which to be proud. The facility is used by the local school district for it's plays, families use it for reunions, and it is available for rent.

Economic Development MidAmerican Energy completed a $323 million electric generating wind farm project in 2005 claimed to be one of the largest of its kind in the nation. Century Wind Farm contains 134 turbines and is located north of Blairsburg in Wright and Hamilton counties.

Education The Northeast Hamilton School District is currently constructing an elementary wing addition. The $3.2 million project will greatly enhance the school that serves the communities of Blairsburg, Kamrar and Williams. FarmallIntlAtractorBlairsburg
